Aussie economists weave pro-immigration propaganda

The AFR’s Michael Read published a propaganda piece on Friday warning that the Coalition’s modest proposed cuts to immigration would have a devastating impact on the economy.

“The economic effect of migration cuts would be wide-reaching, including lower economic growth, a deterioration in government finances, and more worker shortages”, argues Read.
To support his rubbery claims, Read first quotes the spurious analysis from the captured Grattan Institute, whose migration research is sponsored by pro-migration lobbyists at the Scanlon Foundation:
