More signs Aussie wage growth has peaked

Earlier this week, SEEK published data showing that job ads have fallen for five consecutive months:

Now SEEK’s advertised salary index (ASI) shows that salary growth “is no longer accelerating” and “nearing a peak”, with annual growth down from its peak earlier this year:

Commenting on the result, SEEK senior economist, Matt Cowgill, said the data suggests a “wage-price spiral” is unlikely:
