Our viewer question of the week:
Will the rotation to value stocks last, or is the market just spinning its wheels?

When in an irrational market it is safest to say nothing because anything can happen. Through in cheap money anything does happen and then a new economic theory is born. I give you the Economic Theory of Numpty. The crowd goes aaaahhhh, smart fella that one.

The new normal. Stocks and property are now safe, government guaranteed investments thanks to money printing and term deposits are now the riskiest investment thanks to Government Bail In legislation.

    • Might be some famous last words there. S&P already had it’s 10% correction a month or so back.

And with rates at 0% TINA.

      • I don’t know Beast,
I got exposure to oil when the price of a barrel was around 20 bucks, rare earth 110% ago, and travel and leisure 60% ago. There will be gains in all of these sectors but for me, the majority of gains are behind me. These things have to be anticipated.
When it’s obvious, it’s too late for my liking.

        • I’m in two of those three things also
OOO.asx has bit me in the arse this year though when they pushed out the forward contract terms to several months instead of rolling 30 days or whatever it was

I’m hodl’ing my travel stocks because whilst I’m also up a similar %, really there should be 200% gains in those the next few years overall.
