How China lied to the world and exported COVID-19

In case you missed it, above is a must watch report from 60 Minutes Australia documenting how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) deliberately hid the severity of the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, silenced whistle-blowers and then, via their negligence, exported the virus to the world.

Below is also an excellent report on how the coronavirus has crippled New York City, dubbed “the Wuhan of America”.

When this crisis has passed, the world’s leaders need to hold the CCP to account for their duplicitous actions and the pain they have inflicted.

‘When this crisis has passed, the world’s leaders need to hold the CCP to account for their duplicitous actions and the pain they have inflicted’

But they won’t. Becuase that would be racist, and childish finger pointing.

As many on this site only yesterday stated that we should just stop trying to label it clearly as originating from China, then holding them to account would be a leap that will not be taken in this gutless world by our gutless leaders!

Hipsters and various other sects within the Progressive cult will be apoplectic at such accusations and eventually find a way to blame it on ‘white privilege’ or ‘toxic masculinity’.

I am interested to watch how deeply this crisis is going to impact the Australian Society. I wonder if it will get bad enough here that in a short time the hipster and progressive types start to disappear as they get exposed to the reality that the world is not a good and safe place and we can’t lift the entire planet up to the Australian standard of living. There is going to be a very long recession and I think there will be a reckoning of sorts, this time I feel the party is truly over. It’s been good here for a long time (albeit we all know that it was only fake good) and that has sponsored the lives of the progressive types, will they have those luxuries after the party is finished? Will these people ever get a reality check?

Well, that’s my base case – when you’re starving hungry and the tidiness of your beard no longer matters, every other vacuous cause you’d previously hitched your wagon to, dies, IMO. Every braindead piece of virtue-signalling lunacy will evaporate like the morning mist – at least, that’s the plan 😉

          • John Howards Bowling Coach

Let’s hope it works that way. I think stupidity is hard to eradicate but hunger might be a good motivation to sharpen up. I read a Psychology study years ago that showed hungry people are sharper.

But flakey just isn’t good enough – the CCP hackers will have to work a bit harder.

  2. As much as China lied, that’s totally in their nature. Scorpion and the Frog. We’re the frog.

What they did tell us was harrowing enough. I’ve been following since January.

We had 2 months warning and did absolutely nothing.

    Nothing.

That is on us. We can’t blame China for our complete lack of preparation.

      • C.M.BurnsMEMBER

the challenge was that the WHO, having been thoroughly corrupted by china, used chinese numbers as their official WHO numbers. So it took much bigger balls for any politician or bureaucracy to insist on a course of action that was ‘out of alignment’ with the official growth rates etc.

      • Even those numbers were bad enough.
Shortly after they announced it they cut the exits for 12m people. Then 50. Then they welded people indoors and marched through the streets disinfecting them.
There were CT scans of lungs. Stories of young doctors dying. It was said to be like SARS.
Even a brutal dictatorship doesn’t do that for kicks.

To look at that and do nothing was just plain arrogance.

        • ChinajimMEMBER

You’re right Myne. I was watching it from very close up from the start (came back to Aus end of Feb) and the lack of action in Australia was exasperating. We should have just shut them off instead of letting planeloads in directly and then paying for them to come via a frickin 14 day holiday in a developing country

But uni VCs and the fvckin’ small town grocery store mentality that runs this joint were in charge. And we didn’t want to be rashishst.

          Idiot country.

Despite that the free world (remember that term from the Cold War?) need to unite and contain the CCP and support the courageous dissidents and resisters. Believe me that takes massive courage. Massive. They should not have to stand alone.

    • Watch what they do not what they say.Yes it is the behaviour of our authorities that is unforgivable including allowing them access to our supplies(which should have been secured very early in the piece). To not expect this behaviour was a mistake.Having said that your better of in life hanging around people that are better than yourself-maybe we should stop hanging out with them alternatively our behaviour has become so bad that just maybe even with what they do they are better than us

    • Nope, but we can certainly blame CCP for us NEEDING any preparation in the first place.

  3. I saw an interview some time ago with Ai Fen the ED doctor. At the time I thought she was extremely candid and brave and wondered how she could get away with being so frank about the dishonesty of the CCP and its apparatchiks.
Apparently she didn’t get away with it.

‘Lying to the world’ is not the crime, as nobody believes the CCP anyway. In one period of ‘adjustment’, the total number of cases is lower than the sum total of the individual provinces!!

The Wuhan government behaved no differently to many Western governments. No protective gear for doctors and nurses, promoting mass gathering events in the face of epidemic, not testing patient that wants to be tested, etc, etc. An incompetence government behaves the same everything in the world.

The CCP’s real crime is not closing down the border once it went FUBAR, and let the infection spread to other countries. Maybe it’s deliberate, maybe they simply don’t care. Facemask in China in mandatory during the quarantine period. Many people who are infected will stop using facemask because they don’t believe they should be inconvenienced to stop others from being infected. This is a decision that will come back to haunt them.

    • “The CCP’s real crime is not closing down the border once it went FUBAR, and let the infection spread to other countries.”

      Talking about switching the blame…
They anounced in time, they could not make the world shut.

You should blame the western MSM…

china explicitly and publicly pressured governments to leave travel open with China, even as they started to lock their own country down.

remember the massive dummy spit their ambassador had when we had the temerity to publicly start talking about travel restrictions on students ?

        • darklydrawlMEMBER

hmmm… Ironically the CCP have shut China’s borders to the rest of the world. Whilst this is the right thing to do it does seem hypocritical to for them to be dissing other countries for doing the same. The Australian travel restrictions were laughable anyway. Too little, too late, too easy to get around.

      • Are you deluded Djenka? The CCP:
        1) Never shut down the exotic animal wet markets post SARS. This created the virus.
        2) They hid the virus for months, persecuted whistle blowers, and claimed the virus was under control when it was spreading like wildfire person-to-person.
        3) They allowed millions of Chinese to travel from Wuhan both domestically and abroad during the Lunar Holiday, thus exporting the virus to the world.
        4) They pressured foreign governments to keep their borders open to China when the virus was growing exponentially, accusing everyone of racism and xenophobia.

How can you possibly excuse the behaviour of the CCP? If it was a western democratic nation pulling this shit, you’d no doubt be all over it. But because it is a non-white nation, it’s racist to criticise.

        • Well said and another great article.

Would love to know your take on Francis Boyle’s opinion it was an escaped bio weapon from a biosecurity lab that’s in Wuhan

“There have been leaks before of SARS out of this facility, and indeed the only reason for these BSL-4 facilities, based on my experience, is the research, development, testing and stockpiling of offensive biological weapons.”

        • @ LvO

I have your response but you must allow it past your usual “block first – ask questions never”

          • 3) They allowed millions of Chinese to travel from Wuhan both domestically and abroad during the Lunar Holiday, thus exporting the virus to the world.
If we compare this to the way US handled the pandemic in the full swing, China’s response was several times more serious. They announced the SARS infection of unknown origin to the world late in December and after that it did more than the WHO would. Most of the learning of the virus and its spreading was learned in the January… in the lead up to Spring Festival. Only late in January it was confirmed that it can be human-to-human transmitted.
It is absurd that any country will knowingly allow a virus that threatens its nation to spill to the World deliberately. Ask you self: to what effect? A virus pandemic is closer to doomsday machine than to a warfare.
ctually, it is a critic the least.

          • Stewie GriffinMEMBER

They fed the world (including the US) absolute Bullshit as to the virulence, transmissiblity and lethality of this virus for the first 2 months of this year. Not only did they know of its deadly qualities, they deliberately destroyed evidence as to its lethality and transmissiblity:

            https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/british-scientific-advisors-china-covering-full-extent-virus-could-be-40-times-worse

Then, in addition to this, they bent WHO to their nefarious ways by getting WHO to repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the disease, and the possibility of human to human transmission.

There was virtually no reliable information put forward until the disease exploded into Iran and Italy. Korea and Japan’s natural skepticism and distrust of China probably served them well – something more of us could do well with seeing a little more of.

After being slow to move, due in no small part to China’s initial miss-information the US (and Aust) have finally started to take action. It takes time to turn around an oil tanker, and for people to start believing the unbelievable.

Americans rage won’t be directed at Trump, their righteous fury is going to come down on China.

  5. Their actions might be forgivable if there was some contrition. Instead, what we hear now from China is bragging along the lines of ‘we handled this so well and don’t have a problem anymore, and the USA/Europe stuffed it up’.

    Incredible.

    • Contrition would be an admission of guilt & loss of their most prized possession – face. Different values…… but yeah, Kumbaya.

swine flu was spreading around the globe this spring, a senior disease specialist from the World Health Organization (WHO) held an urgent conference call with top British health officials. In the conversation this May, later described as “aggressive” by sources familiar with the discussion, the WHO official accused the British of concealing the extent of their country’s swine-flu outbreak. Among those with swine-flu symptoms, Britain was only counting people who had traveled to places that, like Mexico, had already confirmed an outbreak of the virus, known to scientists as H1N1. Their method left much to be desired in a country where the virus was already spreading fast. Countless Britons fell sick and were intentionally left uncounted.

The biggest “Oh hell no” moment in the 60 Minutes story was when the contagion scientist said despite our current measures, its going to July and August that are when coronavirus peaks here.

    • Markus Paddey

She’s likely wrong. Influenza pandemics, SARS and MERS actually were not worse in winter.

      • I hope your right but this is not SARS or MERS it’s a Novel Coronavirus.

The information released so far suggests it enjoys cooler environments and July August is our peak flu season. It’s the time for Australians to be worried. If there is a bad outbreak (and there will be some entitled [email protected] who thinks they’re super man) Sydney and Melbourne will be a disaster zone.

Me? My sassy lil’ butt is in the Northen Territory. The borders are shut, grey nomads are in 14 days gov quarantine if they want to come in and I’m in possibly the safest place in Oz – provided my business survives the utter lack of tourism/grey nomads etc.

And at this time… all businesses are in survival mode, except those that make face masks, hand sanitisers and soap.

Am I worried? Hell yeah, but not about CV. I’m fit healthy and am pretty (probably overly) confident that if I get CV19, I’ll get it, get over it and get on with life.

It’s the friends I’ll lose and the depression that will wreck Oz that really worries me.

  10. Whether China or Russia et al let us see how many brave souls are parading around on May Day Celebrations.Without masks and smiling faces. Lets see the interviews with the old codgers about past glories and deeds in public. Cant wait for the cut and paste or due to technical failures etc. Should be both a fucking hoot and a wake up call for all.

  11. The CCP have brought the mighty USA to her knees without even firing a single missile…. wet market my arse. the CCP built COVID-19 and its proven to be an incredible weapon of mass destruction

Don’t give them too much credit. I have been researching the whole conspiracy of this virus and it appears from source I have read (professors of Virology in Australia and the US) and also a couple of family members in this area, one who is a long term creator of vaccines and another who is a professor of biotech, they say there is no chance this virus is man made because it is not that effective, mortality rate is very low, and it is based on animal virus’ that is not as effective as it would be if you wanted to create it, it would have been based on a human virus. Yes the Chinese want to create carnage and chaos, and take over the world, but this time around I think their killing more of their own than others. The feedback we are getting from a family member on the front line of Chinese hospitals is that the numbers over there are massively understated and the number of urns of human remains for example being release to families is enormous, a large factor beyond what they have claimed to be the official death figures. We were told last week about whole families gone, urns sent to addresses where there are now no living family members to bring in the remains. It must be shocking to be living through this in the middle kingdom right now. Much as I hold them in disdain I don’t wish that on anyone.
