Let’s face it, the lockdown and media hysteria strategy had better work quickly because it’s doing immeasurable harm to the global economy – that is, it’s threatening millions of jobs and the living standards of just about everyone.

…But I’m not sure this is what will happen. For a time, governments will persist with the quarantine, lockdown strategy. It may work. In state controlled China there are early indications it has. But in more democratic societies it’s proving hard to impose the sorts of controls China is used to.
