So join MB Fund’s Head of Investments Damien Klassen, Chief Strategist David Llewellyn Smith, Chief Economist Leith Van Onselen and Tim Fuller as we look at the state of the Australian property market pullback and if it has more to run.

  1. No. Real economy and jobs to begin to be affected. IO roll over continues.
Volumes to increase in spring. Price declines to accelerate again.

Not over. Not even half way.

  2. Thanks for the discussion. Really enjoyed it. Careful with the narrative of a lower Australian dollar makes up competitive. The landscape has changed quite a bit and I have had a lot of companies express to me that a lower Australian dollar would really hurt them. I know a lot of companies in manufacturing that have really enjoyed a high dollar as parts, components, machines and such that were bought overseas were cheap. In fact since the decline of our manufacturing our reliance on overseas products has exploded. In fact a lot of companies have shifted to simply importing almost the complete product from overseas and selling them here at a premium.
