Amid scandals, state seeks lift in international student numbers

Despite the shocking scandals revealed in Monday’s Four Corner’s report on Australia’s international student trade, Western Australia’s McGowan Government has announced that it will seek to dramatically lift international student numbers to an estimated 88,000 by 2022:
The McGowan Government will invest an extra $4.5 million towards StudyPerth’s International Education Action Plan, as part of the upcoming 2019-20 State Budget, helping to deliver on its plan to diversify the economy and create local jobs.
