    • IR would still be around 1.5% but house prices would have been around 1/3 of today’s because rates would have been going up every time house price growth hits 2%
what was happening instead? RBA was cutting rates when houses prices were surging by 10% pa

  1. ‘It’s Pink Batts all over again’: Moderate Liberal MPs join pile-on over ‘Soviet’ electric car policy

And what is the LNP’s ban on luxury bathrooms called?

    • The Traveling Wilbur

Dunno about here, but when they tried attaching a similar ammendment to a bill in Congress it was called the Lo Flo Rider.

    • He’s been MP for almost 30 year, his party was in power for more than half of that, he was PM for few years …. and he still didn’t complete a single few km long tunnel that he is so obsessed with

if he started digging by himself in 1994 he would have been by now achieved more – maybe if he worked hard he would have finished it by now

    • It is good, but you shouldn’t be so coy about the contents.

The above links to some investigative work which points to a federal politician being the recipient of millions of dollars in water buybacks. This goes to his Cayman islands based company and was enabled by another federal politician.

It is well worth the read. Just try to be considerate of others and keep the cursing and banging if keyboards to a minimum of you are in a public place.

The twitter account was suspended almost immediately. Someone in power didn’t like it at all.

Twitter is as corrupt as any of them.

For those who are concerned for Assange’s future…..sleep easy.
Here is what awaits him in the US.

“Assange is charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison if convicted. “

He will also be “requested ” to testify in front of the US senate on the DNC “hacking” where the dems have been asserting that the russians were behind the emails that wikileaks released. Assange himself has stated that it was not russians. It has been mentioned that his source was Seth Rich, who worked within the DNC up until his death.

5 years max. He could even be pardoned. Time will tell.

Snowden is having his say on this event.
Remember that Snowden was CIA before he contracted to NSA and then dropped the XKeyscore and Prism info. A good plan to discredit the NSA in the publics eyes, while the CIA quietly get to use the same technology plus more ( vault 7 ) unhindered.

Make your own mind up on this one……but for mine, Snowden is a traitor with a movie made about him….hollywood, anyone? ……..while Assange gets years locked away in an obscure embassy.

Every dog has it’s day……and JA’s time is now.

No idea on that, doc. I am trying to stick with known knowns…..and limiting opinion or suppositions.
        My opinion……
I think Trump will let justice take it’s course, and if the evidence leads to JA being either exonerated, or already having paid a price, then maybe he will get freedom.
        I don’t know about Putin.

        Known facts……
This is not just about the indictment above. JA has been requested to testify in front of the US senate. This would fill in details about the clinton/DNC emails and wikileaks source of them. Seth Rich died around the time of the leaks, and he was implicated as the source to JA. This will all come out when the IG report and Huber’s report come out in the next few months. The Clinton Foundation is under intense scrutiny, and JA can be thanked for exposing some of the corruption. This might stand him in good stead with the DOJ.

On top of all of this….with the collapse of the mueller-russia probe-narrative, and now criminal referrals having been made yesterday to the new AG against some of the very people who started the russia narrative, maybe now people will start to see that the swamp is indeed being drained. It took some time to root out the corrupt individuals at the top of each agency before meaningful action could be measured. This is just the start….and JA is central to so much of it.

Rumour has it that wikileaks has been compromised ( for a while now ) and is not run by JA anymore. Take whatever they put out with a grain of salt.

      • “I am trying to stick with known knowns…” Ha ha, yeah, you’re right, windmills cause cancer.

And that’s about the level of conversation around here these days.
Assange is being extradited……..and you want to talk about windmills.

Ask for a pay rise………or run for PM. You are a wasted intellect on these boards.
