Bloody Pauline:

One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson arrived in Senate question time dressed in a burka, a form of Islamic dress with a face covering.

…“In light of the national security of this nation will you work to ban the burka in Australia,” she asked Attorney-General George Brandis.

Senator Brandis said: “No”.

Earlier someone in the chamber was heard saying “Oh what on earth?” as she walked in.

Senator Brandis has attacked Senator Hanson for her “stunt” and said what she had done was “appalling”.

“I can tell you it has been the advice of each director-general of security with whom I have worked and each commission of the Australian Federal Police that it is vital for their intelligence and law enforcement work that they work cooperatively with Muslim community,” Senator Brandis said.

Quite right.

And just like that, debating immigration equals racism again. You idiot.
