Iron ore drives fall in Q2 trade deficit

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released trade data for the month of June, with Australia’s trade deficit deteriorating to $3,195 million from $2,418 million in May.

In seasonally adjusted terms, exports fell $213 million (1%) to $25,803 million in June, whereas imports rose by $564 million (2%) to $28,998 million.
