HIA: Land prices hit record as sales evaporate

The Housing Industry Association (HIA) has released its land sales report for the March quarter of 2016, which revealed a further divergence between vacant lot prices, which continue to climb to record highs, and the number of land sales, which remain stuck in the doldrums having tanked over the past two years (see next chart).
