Turnbull’s standing falls “off a cliff”

From the AFR:

Their opinions of both Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten are also negative but Mr Turnbull has “fallen off a cliff”.

One group was comprised of the same people Visibility interviewed in October, just after Mr Turnbull took the leadership. Back then, he attracted such comments as “confident”, “successful businessman”, “articulate”, “successful” ,”intelligent” and “looking the part”.

Last week, the very same people described Mr Turnbull with such terms as “he’s done nothing”, “dithering”, “no action”, “just an ego trip”, “thought he was going to be good” and “feather in his cap”.

Mr Shorten attracted such comments as “out of his depth”, “not a leader”, “weak” and “puppet”.

Mr Mitchelmore said voters have largely lost interest in an election campaign that is too long and lacks any variety. “It’s fading into the background, it’s the same old, same old every day,” he said.

Mr Mitchelmore said with more more than two weeks to go, this proved more of a risk to Mr Turnbull because “it’s more of nothing happening when they want something to happen”.

Sad but true.
