Retail sales growth continues to fade

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released retail sales figures for the month of April, which registered 0.2% seasonally-adjusted growth in sales over the month with annual sales clocking in at 3.6%:

In trend terms, annual retail sales fell to 3.4% amid a clear downward trend.
