More evidence of vanishing rental growth

Over recent months there has been reams of evidence showing that rental growth across Australia’s combined housing markets has weakened materially.

First, there is the Core-Logic RP Data rental growth index, which showed that rental growth across the combined capitals registered zero growth in the year to January and February – the lowest recorded growth on record:

Second, the ABS rental inflation series showed that rental growth has slumped to the lowest level in 21-years:
