Brent oil was hammered last night to within a whisker of its GFC lows before bouncing back to $38.19 as I write. Henry Hub gas was likewise pulverised to $1.80 before rebounding to 1.88mmBtu:

There was no real news, though this is interesting, from Reuters:

The 40-year-old ban on most U.S. crude oil exports will “very likely” be lifted in the government spending bill, and talks on the final budget deal are likely to continue through the weekend, a Senate aide said on Friday.
