125 illegal foreign property buyers step forward

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has revealed that 125 foreign real estate buyers have taken advantage of the Government’s amnesty to fess up to buying homes illegally, with another 500 buyers under investigation by the ATO for possible breaches. From The Guardian:
The 125 investors have moved ahead of the deadline expiring on 30 November, the [FOI] documents show.
