From The Australian:

Environment Minister Greg Hunt has claimed responsibility for having “killed off” the Abbott government’s proposed investigation into the Bureau of Meteorology’s climate modelling, as he also stepped back from plans to erode green activists’ legal standing to challenge major projects.

I know a few folks at the BOM and can say that place is filled with inoffensive scientists in cardigans that have virtually no political bones in their bodies. This would have been a disaster for Abbott, oh that’s right, he’s already blown himself up elsewhere.

As for Hunt, pfft.
