Holiday housekeeping

Dear readers

Thank you for a successful 2014. As is customary at this time of year, MB’s two main bloggers – David Llewellyn-Smith and Leith van Onselen – will be taking a much needed break, and MB will operate on a reduced timetable.

The timetable for the coming month is as follows:

  • Daily links and a few other goodies only will be posted between 26 Dec to Sunday 4 January.
  • Chris Becker will resume normal operations on Monday 5 January and run MB until Friday 16 January.
  • David Llewellyn-Smith will take over from Monday 19 January.
  • Leith van Onselen will resume from Monday 26 January.

Please have a safe and enjoyable holiday break and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.

    • Bored today? Want to listen to a mind-expanding podcast?

      Try this:

The degrowth movement seeks to decolonize a culture that is currently directed to expand the scale and scope of a materially extractive economy. Through adopting strategies like voluntary simplicity and convivial activities, degrowth advocates aim to create an economic system that is compatible with the biosphere. Are the ideas and concepts of degrowth ready for a wider debate?

  1. Merry Christmas to all – especially the MB team. Best of wishes – and lets hope we have a equally great year next year.

Remember the reason for the season… God bless.

    • Nice, hope you had fun with your grandchild. The Nuts were up at some ridiculous time, junior Pea Nut loves Christmas. Mrs Nut whipped up an awesome feast for the four of us, rolled chicken roast, ribs, bangers, sates and a home mad pav! I ran the BBQ between christening my most prize present – a Hawks 2014 Premiership stubbie cooler with Matilda Bay beer! (I know, it’s not the original but it’s still pretty good) Nice family day. And now we’re unwinding, relaxing and enjoying what’s left of the day and the mass of left overs.

Hope everyone had a great day and may more to come. Thanks the the MB crew who constantly delivering great content. My resolution for next year is to not be such a tight ass and spring the $150….so long as Mrs Nut approves.

      Merry belated Christmas everyone.
