On Monday morning, the two executives released a joint statement saying: “We have been friends for 35 years and still are. In that time we have had our fair share of ups and downs. We respect each other and neither of us will be commenting further.”
Media outlets are being approached to bid for rights to the photos this morning with sources suggesting they could sell for more than $100,000.
Packer and Gyngell are childhood friends who attended the elite eastern suburbs private school Cranbrook together.
