From the AFR, the project to end all projects is slipping:
Gina Rinehart’s Roy Hill Holdings insists it will begin exporting on schedule in 2015, despite extending a crucial construction contract to the brink of 2016.
Roy Hill executives confirmed on Tuesday that certain aspects of its prime engineering and construction contract with Samsung C&T had been altered, including a 46-day extension to the length of the contract.
Certain financial terms were also changed, with currency fluctuations increasing the Australian dollar cost of the contract by $60 million to $5.65 billion.
…The lucrative contract with Samsung was originally due to finish on November 15, 2015, but the recent changes mean that ‘‘practical completion’’ of the contract will now occur on December 30, 2015.
Hard to see Gina turning back. Hard to see why she should go ahead!
