APM: Rental growth slowing

Australian Property Monitors (APM) has released its rental report for the September quarter, which revealed a material slowdown in rental growth, with house rents only rising in Melbourne and Brisbane and only marginally stronger results recorded for units:

Interestingly, it was the first time in around three years that Melbourne house rents had experienced any growth, according to APM.

With home prices rising, and rental growth weak, rental yields are now falling across most markets:
