The subject was population ageing across the developed world and what it means for the world’s economies. Below is the summary description attached to the program:
Has the Western world reached its demographic sweet spot? That is, where there is a high proportion of working age people supporting only a small pool of dependents. The baby boomers are retiring in large numbers and women are having fewer children so what does this mean in terms of the economy? Will it still grow and will it meet expectations? Can we afford to get old?
