Abbott continued his “small target” approach, preferring to focus on the Government’s flaws and dysfunction rather than offer any alternative policy.
In fact, the only reference to policy matters were vague statements about “stopping the boats, abolishing the carbon and mining taxes, and returning the Budget to surplus”, along with promising to lower taxes and regulation, whilst boosting infrastructure investment.
