Japanese industrial production tumbles

September Japanese industrial production is this morning and looks quite sick falling -4.1% (prior was 1.6%, expected was -3.1%). That ;s year on year fall of -8.1% (prior was -4.6%, expected was -7.1%).
Some of this can be attributed to the scuffle with China over the Diaoyu Islands dispute but it is still real damage and can’t help the struggling recovery in the bulk commodities.
