Macro Investor: Go long global

With the enactment of the Federal Reserve’s unlimited QE3 program, along with the European Central Bank’s (ECB) move to support peripheral bonds to ease funding costs, there is a greater probability of growth, or, more to the point, a perception that growth will revive in developed countries around the world.
This trade idea is for a speculative position in international shares for the MacroGrowth portfolio, alongside more concentrated, but initial positions in European and Chinese shares. Preferably, this position would be opened with one foot in the tech-heavy NASDAQ100 index, but no ETFs or equivalent instruments are currently available in Australia.
