Invisopower! gives way to blog power

One of the joys of the blog form is that it the work of a collective mind. Not a borg collective of automatons but a group of specialist individuals and readers that can contribute their various skills and insights to a much clearer understanding of what the hell is going on.

This stands in stark contrast to the droning generalist monologue pumped out by old media outlets with an agenda (some of which are online). That is why blogging is the real power and future of internet journalism.

And today is a spectacular case in point. I posted earlier on Michael West’s excellent piece at the SMH that spanked the RBA and Treasury for failing to divulge public record details of the government guarantee to wholesale debt. Then along comes reader “gavinl”, who reminds us that “you can’t delete stuff from the internet” and provides a link to a facsimile of the said guarantee’s details.
