Another gas reservation flag has gone up the pole today.

The Albanese government is ­considering introducing an energy policy spanning the entire east coast that prioritises volumes of gas to the domestic market through a baseline credit system in a potential fix to ease fears of local supply shortfalls.

Officials from the federal government have held talks with industry and state governments over the proposal.
