The self-immolation of the Australian Greens

Bob Brown and Drew Hutton jointly founded the Australian Greens party in 1992.

Co-founder and life member Drew Hutton was expelled by the party for a series of Facebook posts and comments he made about the Greens’ pro-transgender platform.

Following Hutton’s expulsion, it was revealed that more than 40 members of the Greens nation-wide have either been expelled or forced out of the Greens on gender issues.
