Victorians face immigration taxes

It took Melbourne 165 years to hit a population of 3.5 million at the turn of the century.

Over the first 25 years of this century, Melbourne’s population has grown by nearly 2 million, causing immense strain on housing, infrastructure, services, law and order, and overall living standards.

The state government has also been buried in debt via a combination of financial mismanagement and trying to provide infrastructure and services to the ballooning population.
