Retired bureaucrats attack Labor’s superannuation reforms

Greens leader Larissa Waters has indicated that its party room has yet to decide whether it will support the federal government’s proposed superannuation tax reforms.

The Greens are set to hold the balance of power in the Senate from 1 July, so Labor will depend on their votes to pass legislation.

The Greens had expressed support for the reforms prior to the election but had pushed for the threshold for the tax hike to be lowered from $3 million to just $2 million.
