Australia’s annual greenhouse gas emissions declined 1.2% in the year ending March 2025, according to the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory.

This follows a flat annual result over the year to December 2024. Excluding the land use, land use change and forestry4 (LULUCF) sector, annual emissions fell 1.0% in the year to March 2025.
