Greens demand rent freeze, support record immigration

Greens leader Adam Bandt appeared on Sky News, where he reiterated the party’s call for rents to be frozen:

“Renters need breathing space. At the moment, renters are feeling massive pain. Average rents have gone up $100 a week in the two years under Labor”, Bandt said.

“The Reserve Bank Governor said they’re going to go up by at least another $40 next year on average”.
