Greens announce plan to build homes for migrants

The Greens will release their housing policy on Wednesday.

The Greens will propose establishing a new government agency that would build 360,000 affordable homes over five years at a net cost of $12.5 billion.

Some 70% of the dwellings would be rental properties, with rents to be capped at 25% of average household income; one-fifth of the rental properties would be reserved for people on the lowest incomes.
