Over the weekend, our esteemed federal Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, was quoted in The AFR claiming that the Albanese government had delivered the strongest wage growth in around 15 years:
“At a time when cost-of-living pressures are putting working families under the pump, this data shows that wages are growing faster under Labor than they have in nearly 15 years, and lowest-paid workers are receiving the biggest boost”, Chalmers said.
Chalmers was taken to task on Twitter and by MB. But this didn’t stop him from doubling down with the propaganda poster below:
