Australian immigration rockets to new record high

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) on Tuesday released data on permanent and long-term arrivals, which broke new records.
Over the June quarter, a net 104,020 permanent and long-term arrivals landed in Australia, which was the third-highest quarterly intake on record:

The annual number of net permanent and long-term arrivals hit an all-time high 399,550 over the year to July:
