Aussie wage bounce will be short lived

As noted on Tuesday, the Fair Work Commission (FWC) released data showing the average wage increase for enterprise agreements filed between July 29 and August 11 was 4.4%, which is tied for the largest increase so far this year.

In addition, wage increases averaged above 4% for the first time ever over a period of two consecutive fortnights:

This data, alongside the 5.75% increase in minimum and award wages from 1 July, suggests the September quarter wage price increase should record a solid bounce.
