Anybody hoping for more transparency under the Albanese Government would be sorely disappointed that more than 2,000 requests for answers remain unanswered in the Senate.
The question on notice procedure allows opposition and cross-party senators to request information on government policies and programs from public officials.
“Senators from the Liberal and Greens parties say they are frustrated with the hundreds of questions put to the federal government, which have remained unanswered within the allotted 30-day period”, the Guardian reports.
