‘Teflon’ Dan Andrews must be held accountable

Despite several corruption scandals, hotel quarantine breaches, the world’s longest Covid lockdowns, infrastructure rorting and waste, and Victoria’s budget plunging deep into deficit, Premier Dan Andrews strengthened his parliamentary majority in last year’s Victorian State Election.

Robert Redlich, Victoria’s former integrity watchdog chief and Supreme Court Judge, has accused the Andrews Government of “corruption” despite the fact that no charges have been filed against the premier.

Redlich told the state parliament’s integrity and oversight committee on Monday that IBAC should be permitted to examine alleged corruption without the “far too onerous” requirement that a crime be committed:
