Groveller-in-chief books his ticket to kowtow

Bad news for the Australian national interest:

China has agreed to lift tariffs on imports of Australian barley from Saturday in a key concession to more than $20 billion worth of sanctions on exports imposed at the height of political tensions between Canberra and Beijing.

…The decision helps ease the way for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to visit Beijing later this year, although further easing of trade sanctions may be required. The government has tied Mr Albanese’s visit to China’s willingness to lift the trade sanctions against Australian exports to China.

The Groveller–in-chief will now book his ticket for a session of national humiliation dressed up as diplomacy.

We have nothing to celebrate. All the Groveller-in-chief has done is re-risked Australian trade with China and further increased Beijing’s power:

The schism between the CCP and Australia is structural. By all means, pretend to be friends. But don’t believe in it.

That’s bloody stupid.
