Big Australia psychos run wild
The fake left and right agree on everything. They both love progressive culture wars. They both love globalisation. Most of all, they both love a rabid class war disguised as mass immigration.
At the fake left Guardian:
Big business has sided with the Albanese government by rejecting the “misconception” that migration is higher than normal and the “disingenuous” claim by the Coalition that Labor is pursuing a big Australia policy.
In a report titled Migration Makes Australia Stronger, to be released on Thursday, the Business Council of Australia calls for reforms to make migration more business-friendly and rejects concerns about a surge in arrivals after Covid border closures were lifted.
The report follows similar warnings from Australian Industry Group chief executive, Innes Willox, at the Press Club last week that it was “really, really unfortunate” that some have “demonised” migration.
The gaslighting embedded in this is out of control: cherry-picked data, partial analysis, and arbitrary timeframes. It is total propaganda seeking the construction of an unreality.
There is no mention of opinion polls opposing high immigration. No mention of the environmental and other damage. No mention that it was not an issue put to the people in 2022. And there are no contrary opinions from any experts, just an attack on Dutton, Tehan, and the Coalition.
“Big Australia” immigration has run non-stop since the pre-GFC period:

In the lead-up to 2008 and afterwards, for a while, it made some sense. The mining boom delivered genuine, specialised skills shortages and booming wage pressures.
However, since the commodity crash in 2012, mass immigration was turned from an economic complement to an economic driver and the character and impacts upon the economy completely changed.
For the first time, policymakers refused to protect labour by cutting the migrant intake amid a recessionary economy.
It became hugely destructive to wage growth via ubiquitous theft, ushered in a permanent housing crisis, crush-loaded infrastructure, choked schools and hospitals, ruined tertiary education, and accelerated environmental destruction.
These are not by-products of the policy. They are the policy. A method of growing the economy that makes a select few business sectors richer while wider living standards fall perpetually.
And that allows the government to upsell a kind of rat wheel of economic activity that looks like success because it is a slow-enough-moving failure.
The toxicity of the fake left and fake right population alliance goes beyond greed.
It is a mind virus combined with a deep cultural cringe that wants to erase Australiana.
