Albo refuses to close visa rort pathway

The Coalition Government developed the ‘COVID STREAM’ of sub-class 408 visas to allow temporary entrants in Australia whose visas were about to expire or had recently expired to remain and work lawfully in Australia while international borders were closed.

The visa has been made free of charge to a variety of temporary visa holders, including students, temporary graduates, working holidaymakers, and seasonal workers.

The visa stream offers unlimited work rights, making it very appealing to migrants seeking to work and live in Australia.
