New car sales launch with record May

The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) has released new car sales data, recording the strongest May result on record:

May’s sales were 12.0% higher than the same month last year and represented a 2.7% increase on May 2017, which was the previous best May result.

The year-to-date sales of 456,833 were also 4.3% higher than the same time last year.
