Macro Afternoon
Asian stock markets are having a much better session across the board with local stocks absorbing the latest undershooting inflation print that has sent the Aussie dollar to a new low against the USD.
King dollar is still holding against the majors, particularly Euro which had a mild uptick overnight with the latest higher than expected consumer confidence figures helping.
Oil prices are holding on to their overnight losses and remain tenuous here with Brent crude barely above the $72USD per barrel level while gold is in a similar fraught position, still struggling after a series of low sessions to remain just above the $1910USD per ounce level:

Mainland Chinese share markets were down considerably mid session but have bounced back with the Shanghai Composite treading water at 3187 points while the Hang Seng Index is doi the same, down 0.1% to the 19135 point level.
Japanese stock markets shot out of the gate and then some with the Nikkei 225 closing more than 2% higher to 33193 points with the USDJPY pair now threatening the 144 level again:

Australian stocks had a very solid session with the ASX200 closing more than 1% higher at 7196 points. The Australian dollar however almost dipped below the 66 handle on the May inflation print, with short term momentum returning to the oversold zone as the majors will likely clobber it tonight:

Eurostoxx futures are playing catchup, lifting more than 0.4% while S&P futures are drifting sideways as we head into the London open with the S&P500 four hourly chart holding at previous ATR support at the 4400 point level, not yet out of trouble:

The economic calendar continues with German consumer confidence and two speeches by central bankers Lagarde and Powell later tonight.
