Macro Afternoon
Asian markets are green across the board despite the mixed returns from Wall Street overnight with Japanese stocks leading the way even as Yen appreciates in the short term against USD. Meanwhile the Australian dollar is trying to get out its new monthly low to be just above the 65 cent level.
Oil prices are trying to recover recent losses with Brent crude just above the $72USD per barrel level while gold has held on to its small rebound rally, currently holding just above the $1960 level as the $2000USD per ounce level is still a distant memory:

Mainland Chinese share markets are holding on to modest gains going into the close with the Shanghai Composite up 0.4% to 3217 points while the Hang Seng Index is up 0.7% to 18375 points. Japanese stock markets are putting in a strong session with the Nikkei 225 about to close 0.8% higher at 31150 points as the USDJPY pair remains below the 140 level, breaking short term support:
