Gladys Berejiklian, the former premier of New South Wales, has been found guilty of significant criminal behaviour by the state’s corruption watchdog.

However, Berejiklian has not been recommended for prosecution by the Independent Commision Against Corruption (Icac).

These allegations concern government funding for two nonprofits in Daryl Maguire’s electorate of Wagga Wagga, during the time that Berejiklian was romantically involved with Maguire.

When it came to funding for the Riverina Conservatorium of Music and the Australian Clay Target Association (Acta), ICAC determined that the previous premier had failed to declare a personal conflict of interest.

The ICAC also found that Berejiklian was corrupt since she did not report her suspicions that Maguire had been corrupt.
