Macro Afternoon
Asian stock markets are again having a mixed reaction to overnight price action, with some pullback in strength in USD seeing a little bounce in the Australian dollar while some open market operations by the PBOC is helping lift Chinese stocks. Meanwhile oil prices are coming back slowly with Brent crude pushing back above the $85USD per barrel level as gold is still in a sideways consolidation after its huge selloff on Friday night overnight, currently settling just above the $1875USD per ounce level:

Mainland Chinese share markets are lifting with the Shanghai Composite up 0.7% to 3254 points while the Hang Seng is up only slightly, currently 0.3% higher at 21356 points. Japanese stock markets are pulling back however with the Nikkei 225 down 0.3% to 27531 points with the USDJPY pair gliding just a little higher, bouncing off of trailing ATR support and just above the 131 level:

Australian stocks were the worst in the region with the ASX200 down some 0.5% to retrace back below the 7500 point level at 7491 points. The Australian dollar is trying to bounceback but is stalling again at the mid 69 level, basically back where it started the week:
