…there’s been surprisingly little hostility to Chalmers’ much more radical plan for reducing the power and prestige of the country’s central bank, which he’s describing either as a “refresh” or a “renovation”.
…Even though the panel conducting the Reserve Bank review is due to hand over its recommendations by the end of March, Chalmers has decided to pre-empt its findings by putting up a job advertisement for people who’d like to join the Reserve Bank board.
