Nobody voted for a 39 million ‘Big Australia’ by 2060

The Orwellian Centre for Population has leaked its 2022 Population Statement to the mainstream media, which has been lapped up by the usual cabal of immigration boosters.

According to climate and energy correspondent for The Age and The SMH, Mike Foley, the pandemic has punched a “Canberra-sized hole” in Australia’s population:

This is because the “pandemic is expected to cost Australia nearly half a million migrants by 2025-26”, despite Australia’s population actually increasing by 450,000 – roughly a Canberra – since the end of 2019:
