Victorian Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO Paul Guerra wants to see both public and private-sector employees coming into the office in Melbourne’s CBD three days a week, and that the return-to-the-office push “needs to come from every leader, whether they’d be public sector or private sector”.
Guerra’s call has been backed by Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO Andrew McKellar, who says “state and local governments need to be pulling out all the stops to encourage tourists and workers to return”.
Likewise, the Victorian head of employer association Ai Group, Tim Piper, claims it is incumbent on the City of Melbourne and the Victorian government to “get people back into the offices” and using the city’s services as quickly as possible.
