Greens dills double down on rent freezes, pump immigration

Resident Greens dill, Max Chandler-Mather, has doubled-down on his demand for a two-year rental freeze followed by a 2% cap every 24 months.

The Greens are now threatening to block Labor’s $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund unless the government builds 275,000 public and affordable homes over five years and introduces a two-year national rent freeze:

Investment returns from the Housing Australia Future Fund will build 30,000 new social and affordable housing properties in its first five years and support 21,500 jobs.
